The Ministry of Defence has approved lifetime train travel facilities for recipients of the Sena Medal, Nau Sena Medal and Vayu Sena Medal awarded for gallantry, as part of a new welfare initiative recognising the courage and service of decorated Armed Forces personnel.
Under the approved facility, eligible gallantry awardees will be able to travel across Indian Railways in First Class, Second AC and AC Chair Car.
