Other activities will include opening accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), linking Aadhaar details where required for relevant schemes, completing re-KYC for existing accounts and generating Central KYC identification numbers where pending.

Editorial Analysis
Why This Matters
Access to a bank account alone does not always mean a person can fully use financial services. People may also need help updating records, understanding insurance options, accessing pension schemes or navigating digital banking safely. Local camps can reduce the need for some citizens to travel long distances for information or administrative assistance. They can also create opportunities for bank officials to explain scheme conditions and help eligible individuals complete applications. For farmers, access to Kisan Credit Card services and crop insurance information may be particularly relevant ahead of the Rabi season. The campaign's effectiveness will depend on whether local camps reach the intended communities, whether eligible applicants can complete the required procedures and whether financial institutions provide appropriate follow-up.
An additional focus will be financial awareness. Camps will provide information about digital fraud prevention, financial inclusion schemes and the process of identifying or claiming unclaimed financial assets under the initiative titled Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikar.
The programme also includes sourcing Kisan Credit Card applications to support eligible PM-Kisan beneficiaries and facilitating enrolment under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for the upcoming Rabi season.
The campaign is designed to bring banking and social security services closer to communities. However, participation in a camp does not automatically guarantee approval or benefits under a scheme. Enrolment, insurance coverage, pension eligibility and other services remain subject to the applicable scheme rules and requirements.
