Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah participated in the state-level Gopalak Sammelan at BHEL Dussehra Maidan in Bhopal on October 3 and laid the foundation stone for a milk processing plant in Ujjain through a digital ceremony.
The Ujjain plant, being established at a cost of ₹255 crore, will have a milk processing capacity of 3 lakh litres per day.

During the programme, Shah also inaugurated a Product Dairy Plant in Bhopal with a capacity of 40,000 litres per day. The facility was built at a cost of ₹16.5 crore.
A State-Level Central Laboratory in Bhopal, constructed at a cost of ₹12.42 crore, was also inaugurated. Strengthening works of the Mini Dairy Plant in Shivpuri, costing ₹6.5 crore, were also digitally inaugurated.
The programme also included the distribution of bonuses to members of the Bhopal and Indore Milk Unions and financial assistance to gaushalas. A total dividend of ₹15.10 crore was distributed among members of dairy cooperative societies.
