Customs officials at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport have seized 484 silver coins and one gold coin from two passengers arriving from Doha. Of the seized silver coins, 134 have been identified as having archaeological significance, according to an official statement.
The two passengers were intercepted by Customs officials after arriving in Delhi from Doha on September 2. During examination of their baggage, officials recovered a total of 20.883 kilograms of gold and silver coins.
