The latest fatalities took the country's dengue death toll this year to 281, while the total number of people hospitalised with dengue reached 90,356. A total of 84,299 patients have been discharged so far this year.

Separately, Bangladesh reported six more deaths among people with suspected measles symptoms during the 24 hours up to 8 a.m. on October 6. The DGHS recorded 1,291 new suspected measles cases and 102 new laboratory-confirmed cases during the same period.
The cumulative number of suspected measles-related deaths reached 1,032, while 102 deaths have been confirmed as measles-related, bringing the combined total to 1,134. The number of suspected measles cases reached 199,013, while laboratory-confirmed infections stood at 21,910.
