Around 1,500 police personnel will be deployed in Shillong for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day visit to Meghalaya on October 4 and 5.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said elaborate security and traffic arrangements have been made for the visit. Tactical teams and personnel from different police units will also be deployed along the routes and at key locations.
